Game: Ping Pong


Remember as many jobs as you can from vocabulary lists 1 and 2.
Then you can play "Ping Pong" against a partner.

Rules:
Find something you can use as a ball (rubber, pencil-case, ...).

Partner A (has got the ball): "teacher"
Hand the ball to partner B.

Partner B: "dentist"
Hand back the ball.

Partner A: "architect".

...

Play until one partner makes mistake or until he / she cannot think of another job quickly enough.

The person who said the last correct word gets a point.
Who has got more points after three (or five) rounds?

What jobs do the people in your family have?

Interview a member of your family or a neighbour about his or her job. Here are some questions you can ask them. You can also use the prepared worksheet.

  • Where do you work?
  • What do you do?
  • What time do you start and finish?
  • Do you wear a uniform?
  • What do you like about your job?
  • What do you not like about your job?

Then write a text about the person and the job.
